Little David

Had an anatomy check at my midwife’s office yesterday. Little David is growing healthy and perfect. He was lying in my belly upside down, with his butt sticking up and doing the splits! 😀 The ultrasound tech couldn’t stop laughing, she had never seen such a funny pose!

His head

Striking a pose, showing the world what he’s got! LOL!

Daddy’s Little Amlete

My husband is really into Amish and Mennonite culture lately (which is fine by me, I did half of my graduate thesis on the Amish). Our oldest daughter likes to dress as “Daddy’s little Amlete” to get maximum “you’re so cute” attention from daddy. It’s amazing how little girls pick up on those things and delight in pleasing their daddies. I love watching their relationship grow and I am daily reminded of the incredible power and influence that having a father brings to the life of a child and my heart weeps for the generations in our nation who have grown up without fathers because of feminism’s “I don’t need a man” mentality.

Amish Dust as Medicine

It may sound odd but new research has shown that the unique properties in the dust found in Amish homes helps prevent childhood asthma. Essentially the microbes in the air that accompany farm life help boost the immune system and reduce inflammation. I’m betting that Amish dust helps promote health overall and not just prevent allergic asthma, that’s my personal theory. Living close to nature, as God intended has wonderful blessings. Hard Work, You Just Can’t Beat It

For all those out there catching Pokemons and pretending it’s exercise, check out this guy from Arizona. Weighing a whopping 605 lbs due to the excessive hedonism of our current culture, he decided to take his health back and walk a mile to his local Walmart every time he got hungry. He also quit junk food and ate a natural (read: God’s) diet of whole grains, lean meats and vegetables. He has now lost 300 lbs! Hard work is good for the body and the soul!

Milwaukee Is a Pattern and Your Town Could Be Next

Milwaukee wasn’t always like this. Rioters weren’t targeting whites in the street for beat downs. Thugs weren’t burning down their own, local businesses to protest the shooting of a career criminal who pointed a loaded gun at a police officer.
Milwaukee used to be a thriving metropolis of hard working German, French and Polish Catholics. They settled and built up  a beautiful, industrialized city -the crown jewel of Wisconsin’s industrious Christian, European, population.

But decades of unchecked democratic, globalist, politics, and truck loads of big government welfare enabled those with the lowest work ethic, the lowest IQs and the most violent behavior to thrive over those earning and planning their way and it has created the city we now see on the nightly news. A city burning itself to the ground.
Many of us are too young to remember when towns like Chicago and Milwaukee were dominated by family-focused, Christians who didn’t shy away from a day of hard work and took pride in their community but they once WERE those cities and a wonder to behold.
Don’t forget what they were and know that they can rise again if we fight to retake our culture and make our cities great again.

Amish Market

On a recent family vacation we were delighted to discover by accident (God’s plan I’m sure of it!) an Amish market!
The Amish are a near perfect example of what makes Western nations the best on earth. German, God fearing, humble, hard working, family focused, with HUGE families and strictly Biblical gender roles, the Amish have seen a population explosion that has them birthing and retaining their children at tremendous rates. The Amish population has gone from 200,000 about ten years ago, to around 300,000 today!

My youngest daughter had never seen so much cheese in one place! I had never been anywhere that had cranberry horseradish sauce as a sandwich topping option! We were both in heaven!

A Morning At the Lake

We packed a picnic breakfast of fresh baked, wholewheat, pumpkin cinnamon rolls and headed for the lake this morning.

“I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” Is 41:18

Walk in tradition, separate yourself from the world

This verse has become one of my new favorites. It really sums up to me the concept of being in the world but not of it and how hard work and diligence separate the Christian from the world. Hard work and diligence in the Christian spirit, along with large, wholesome families, is the only thing that will save our earthly families from physical extinction.

“Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us” 2 Thes 3:6
